The HOUNÖ combi oven combined with our banquet system make it easy to serve delicious, hot plated food for many guests at the same time. For example in connection with large events, seminars and parties. The banquet system consists of a specially designed rack for plates, a thick thermal blanket and a practical trolley. As the plates are taken directly from the HOUNÖ oven to the serving area, it’s easy to serve hot dishes right on time.
Recently, our ovens were used to prepare 18,000 plates for the World Petroleum Congress which took place in Doha, Qatar. As such, it was 8 Visual Cooking 2.20 ovens that prepared food for the 4,500 participants from all over the world.
For the official dinner, a 4-course menu was served. It was HOUNÖ's banquet systems and the regeneration programme Cook & Regen that ensured hot and delicious food for all the participants at the congress. If the 18,000 plates (4 per participant) were placed in one long row, you would actually have to walk 4.3 km from the first plate to the last plate.
Before the official dinner, the meals were prepared in our combi ovens and subsequently plated and placed on banquet systems before being chilled. Shortly before the dinner, the banquet trolleys were placed in the combi ovens for regeneration.
