HOUNÖ, which is headquartered in Randers, receives the Randers Municipality CSR Certificate for its efforts towards employees, who in one way or another are on the fringes of the labor market. With the CSR Certificate HOUNÖ A/S becomes a business ambassador for an inclusive labor market.
Randers Municipality wants to honor the companies and workplaces that exhibit inclusiveness towards the unemployed who are on the edge of the labor market. Therefore, Randers Municipality awards HOUNÖ A/S and four other companies with its CSR Certificate on Wednesday March 8, 2017.
The CSR award is given to Randers-based companies that takes social responsibility and opens their doors for employees who do not fit into the usual template from day one. The CSR award celebrates the diverse and inclusive labor market in Randers.
HOUNÖ receives the CSR Certificate both for its efforts to hire unemployed who are on the edge of the labor market, as well as for its efforts to retain employees who find it difficult to maintain a traditional full-time job.
There is evidence that the activities create value - not just for the unemployed who have a connection with a workplace, but also for the company, which builds an organizational culture that show social responsibility, improves its competitiveness and finds it easier to attract other employees.
“It is important for us to include those employees who would otherwise have difficulty in the labor market. We are proud that our commitment in this field is awarded by the Randers Municipality CSR Certificate,” says Kim Merrild Thuesen, Director of Supply Chain Management, which has led the CSR efforts within HOUNÖ.
